Iranian Consul General in Trabzon called for signing a cooperation memorandum between Maku and Trabzon Free Zones
Iranian Consul General in Trabzon
said: Maku Free Zone can introduce its projects with all details to entrepreneurs
in ten provinces of the Turkey's Black Sea area.
According to Public Relation and
International Affairs, in a meeting with the deputies and managers of Maku Free
Zone Organization, Reza Baghban Kondori reporting
on the economic situation of Turkey and the volume of exports and investment in
the country, especially the 10 provinces in the Black Sea area, stated: Maku
Free Zone can have wide business transactions with these ten provinces, hence
we recommend Maku Free Zone to organize a team to identify and introduce
investment opportunities and its potentials to Turkey.
He added: Maku Free Zone should take
part in Trabzon’s cultural exhibition and academic cooperation.
Arsalan Azhari, Deputy of Management Development,
clarifying the potentialities of Maku Free Zone suggested a transit line to be
established from this zone to Trabzon. He also proposed that the investors to
be identified and be invited to attend in this zone.
He continued: Iranian consulate in Trabzon as the political representative
of Iran might pursue the opening of Sari Su border-gate for truck traffic.
In this meeting Maku free zone’s attendance in exhibitions and
conferences in Turkey and signing a memorandum of cooperation with Trabzon Free
Zone were also discussed.
