Chenghiz Gursel, speaking at the meeting, said that Iran and Turkey's ties, with a long history of cultural and business relations, as well as the desire of the parties to increase political and economic relations, is now in a very good condition.
Mutual investment and economic activity in Maku Free Zone is an important priority for us, and in order to convince the private sector to participate, the authorities of Maku Free Zone and Turkey should try to facilitate these relations, Turkey's Senior Business Advisor told.
He added: Including oil and gas exports, Islamic Republic of Iran’s export to Turkey with more than 59% growth, reached to 7 and a half billion dollars that represents good relations between the two countries.
Maku Free Zone is the best place for Turkish investors to invest, and added that this area holds good capacities for establishing industrial and trade relations with Turkey, and we hope that in the not far future, by removing some existing barriers, we will witness joint economic activities in this zone, Gursel said.
Referring to the fact that Turkish businessmen act in various sectors including food, machinery, crane production, heavy machinery, nuts, hotel furnishings, shipbuilding, road building and metal industries, he hoped that Maku Free Zone traders will also be able to collaborate with this panel.
