In a meeting with the Consul General of Iran in Istanbul with the Managing Director of Maku Free Zone Organization, the expansion of trade, cultural and tourism relations between Maku and Turkey was emphasized and Maku is mentioned as a center for the development of trade and tourism relations between Turkey and Iran.
Bakhtiar Asadzadeh, Iran's Consul General in Istanbul, visited the Managing Director of Maku Free Zone Organization, and said: Turkish businessmen and investors are looking forward to invest in Maku Free Zone. He continued, Maku Free Zone is the Corridor of East to West for strong economic and cultural ties, and this is well understood by Turkish businessmen.
Regarding Iran's long-standing relationship with Turkey and the prominence of trade and economic relations between the two countries, Maku Free Zone can play a key role in strengthening these relations, especially in the tourism and commercial sectors, the Consul General said.
In this visit, Gholamreza Soleimani, managing director of Maku free zone organization referring to the zone's potential for business investment, tourism and production, called for the use of the capacity of the consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, to attract investors as well as Iranians living in Istanbul.
