Morteza Bank, Adviser to the President and the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones met with Bakhtiar Asadzadeh, Consul General of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul.

As Freena reported, development of economic and trade relations between the two countries, especially the cooperation between Maku Free Zone and the free zones of Turkey has been emphasized.

It is worth mentioning that Maku Free Zone with a 220-kilometer common border with Turkey can create many joint ventures in various commercial, political and cultural fields and become a production hub between Iran and Turkey.

The geo-strategic position of Maku Free Zone makes it the focal point of connecting the East to the West and the North to the South, as well as the gateway of Iran to Europe, and the only land border that holds all these features together.
